Earthquake in Christchurch.

We woke up this morning to the news that an earthquake has struck New Zealand. We in Auckland is unaffected by the 7.1 Richter scale quake in Christchurch. We are on different islands, and it takes more than one hour to fly, and many hours to drive as we are separated by the Cooks strait.

  5. I am glad that you were not effected by the earthquake, but there are some bloggers in Christchurch and not far from Christchurch and I am very much concerned about their fate.

  9. I saw the damaged done by the earthquake on the news, it's so sad. There's so many beautiful historic buildings in CC that I hope didn't suffer much damage.

  10. In reply to your question....my cousin (Doreen) was in Auckland..she is fine but we still don't know anything about her house...should be ok I suppose...There are many Foochows in CC .
