This pirate was outside the Maritime museum recruiting people to join him. I also ran away with him, but I couldn't get rid of the water engineer.
Last year, when I was doing Pirates, I got my students to write their runaway note, and used tea bags to stain the paper. It almost looked like the real thing.
That is quite a rich, fancy, and well dressed pirate! I love the feathers. I've said it before, but I think you must be an amazing teacher, and that all the kids probably want to get you for their teacher.

I did this last year, and some of the books went home after I had my ESOL program verified. I will check if some of the books are still in my room. Then I could take some photos.
I should see about Anansi the Spider too.
Kids love coming to my program. It gives a change from the classroom, for instance, we had four handsome Firemen come to speak to some classes. I got news of it, and I joined in to see my handsome men in blue, on the pretest my kids would benefit, though they were not officially scheduled to attend. I went twice, ogling the men, my colleagues said I only took my kids because I wanted to see and talk tothe firemen.

ReplyDeleteKangaroo is quite easy to cook well, just that a lot of Australians have no idea how to cook game.
I gave our uneducated master chefs definitely the thumbs down. Most of the time they had no idea when talking about European dishes and produce, Apart from that, they were very wasteful in food and plastic.
With so many people suffering poverty, especially those on a pension, it seemed like criminal waste to teach that to the next generation.
These are wonderful souvenirs. They are stories, and their decorations tell yet more stories. Very nice. What a fascinating culture.
