We enjoyed Auckland very much. Our climb up Mt. Victoria in Devonport wouldn't be that hard for you but for me, I was really puffing when I got to the top.
When we were up there we met an old, older than me even gentleman and his dog. The man had about three inches of hair all over his head (the part that showed, he was wearing a hat) and he had a long and bushy beard.
He told of coming to NZ from Scotland to visit his sister and he didn't go back. He was a sheep sheerer then and learned how to do it the NZ way which is different from what he had learned.
