Friday Shootout: Letter B

Like Sarawakiana said, I wasn't going to give a commentary.

I am doing this for Ginny. It wasn't my church's kitchen, but it has something to do with my church. The ESOL staff of my church went for a train outing to Onehunga and we went to this Cafe for lunch.

The Barista won second prize. The girl is the barista, but I don't know if she is the one who won.

My church also has a Barista and we give visitors a cup of free coffee.

A barista (from the Italian for "bartender") is a person, usually a coffee-house employee, who prepares and serves espresso-based coffee drinks. .

  1. This post reminds me of the language game we used to play in school...I spy with my little eye and I see something beginning with the letter B!!Thanks for the memories...Great!

  4. Fresh ground coffee that is awesome. I remember my grandpa used to make coffee early in the morning and the coffee fresh from the pot smelling good, we pour it to the rice then with dried fish, yummy!! ^_^

  8. I really like the shot with the baskets.

Thanks for your comment. I had to goggle "Ask" and found it refers to a search engine company that used to be called Ask Jeeves. Now we both know. :D)

  9. Beautiful shots and I'm willing to bet your post is the only one that has a barista in it. Thank you for your commentary - I have learned a new word as well as enjoyed the photography.

  10. Hi Ann, how very clever of you to find a Barista. I like the last photo, not because of the brooms but because of the sign, "we value money". I'm sure there's another word in there that I'm missing but I like how I'm seeing it.

  11. I'm a bit late getting around the posts from last week, Ann. You have a great selection - well done with the barista!
