These photos were taken on different occasions at Western Springs Park. I go there a lot, and see the feathered animals at different cycles of their lives.
I have seen a photo on Ruth's site. She has a chicken called honey. When I saw this chicken with a "wig" I remembered Ruth's. I think it is called a Poland chicken.
I went to Muriwai to see the gannets. Instead of photographing the birds, I photographed my own shadow unintentionally.

Sunday Stills-Shadows
Posted in Sunday Stills on July 4, 2010 by Linda
For this weeks Sunday Stills challenge I’d like you to photograph shadows. Try and find some interesting patterns if you can. Time of day is key in this one!

eeh...your shadow resembles Darth Vader
Great hand you have!!!
Soccer starts here at 20:20. I am not watching football but my neighbours do. As soon as I hear cheering and the vuvazela, I know that the Dutch scored and I have a quick look at the other channel to see the score, then I return to the program I was watching. I hope of course that we will win.
Well Ann I might watch the last few minutes, otherwise it will be too exciting. If they win there will be a huge party in Amsterdam, police are ready to maintain order in case of riots. Street and houses are painted orange, the colour of our royal family.
Wonderful pictures Ann. I love the shadow shots.
These birds are strange looking and unusual. I don't think we have any like this around here. You always show me new and different things.
I like the one of the goose ? looking at himself! great shots!
I love the shadow photos here. The white duck (1st pic) looks like smiling to you :-)
