One week after Tsunami
Today is one week after the Tsunami struck Samoa and Tonga. New Zealand is like cousins to the Samoans and Tongans. I "feel" for these islanders as more than half of my students are from these islands. Next week, when I return to school, I expect to hear stories from them.
Our television today ran a donation drive at three different centres of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. People from all walks of life came to bring in their donation.
I leave you with a joke that my students taught me," What did the giant say when he ate Tonga?"
"I want Samoa (some more)

Very funny joke, But we do feel bad of the natural disaster coming after another.
It's depressing sometimes reading the newspaper, after the quakes that strike Sumatra! at the same time I'm thankful that Spore is 'sheltered' from the natural calamity.
Funny joke.......
I think we all feel for the people caught up in that disaster even though we are miles away. It makes no difference.
