Friday My Town Shoot Out Dec.11th Weather

December 11 - (Christmas season) WEATHER by Emma

At this time of the year, in the northern hemisphere, there are dusting of snow, and in some places, some dumping. In China, the place of my grand parents, the dumping is extra early. My winter photos were taken at Mt Ruepehu in the North Island of New Zealand.

This year in New Zealand, we had extremes in weather. We had heavy dumping of snow, gale winds and heavy rain. It is summer, and today, we are feeling the heat.

In Tropical Borneo, it is hot and humid. Sometimes, there is torrential downpour. Sam & I were caught in one when we were in the Mulu caves. Haze is a serious phenomenon.

How different we can be in terms of climate.
while I long for a white christmas many would like summer outing for the festival.
Others just wish to have a nice air con hotel for their Christmas lunch or dinner.

Thanks for all those lovely photos.

Due to global warning the weather is at sixes and sevens! And still there are people who deny that there is something going on which is seriously wrong.
Thanks for your visit.

Such a contrast your photos. Thick heavy snow and warm sunshiny play outside type of days.

I love the snow on the car hood photo, it really shows just how cold ice can really be!

We got a little on Saturday, but it will hit us around Christmas or after and not leave until springs first buds come in...

The span from sun to cold is quite amazing in this shoot. I don't know whether to put on a parka or take off my shirt.

You've outdone your self this week Ann! I love the variety of weather extremes you've captured. You're lucky to be able to go to the now---and then leave it behind.

Nice weather shots Ann, unfortunately we don't have snow here in the Philippines.

BTW, can I grab the best photo of yours that I like? I will make another special post. Thanks in advance!
