Member Voice for January 7 - Macro Shot of your Town
The theme for January 7 is Macro Shots of your Town by Jarielyn.

In her words:
Macro shots aren't just for flowers and bugs. How about capturing the details of your town by getting up close and personal with the architecture that makes up the buildings in your town. It could be anything from a doorknob to a window display. Whatever you find interesting enough to get a closer look and to capture with your camera's eye. It will be lots of fun to get a zoomed in perspective of your town.

Good pictures Ann. You have me stumped with the first picture though. What is it? - Dave

I know the theme you chose is architecture but it really does remind me of designs on a wedding cake. They are beautiful Ann. I love the detail on the 1922 picture. Lovely. I hope you are keeping well and it's nice to come back here for a visit again. =D

Ann, you definitely captured what I envisioned when I chose this subject. I really like all the details, especially the 1922. Very well done.

It is like have a macro look at your city through your perceptive eye.

Thanks. The photos bring me nearer to Auckland. May my dream come true.

Answer to your question: No, there's no linking bridge from my block to another, most HDB apartment don't have these except the newest one in Duxton, near Tanjong Pagar. It was recently completed , it's a few block with interconnecting bridge. I've seen a few condominiums having bridge link , not a very common feature.
I'm staying on the 13th floor, the very top. For the last 30 years I've only experienced power failure about 3-4 times only. And lift breakdown here are quickly rectified .I love staying on the top floor!

the second and third shots are very cool. I like the curly cues and design lines on them.
