I have never seen a slug so big in the garden. I was drying the crab shells, the crabs I had for Christmas. I wanted to take this giant crab shells to school when I go back to school to show my kids. My husband brought the shells, and when I packed the shells away, underneath the shells, was this giant slug. It is more than 1 and half inch long. I put it in the worm farm I have brought back from school for the holidays. I have the worm farm sitting on my coffee table, my daughter asked, " Mum, what have you got?" I must now go an feed my slug.

I figure since its colder than a well diggers butt out there in most spots ya’ll would appreciate a nice easy indoor challenge. So find somthing cool in the homestead and get as close as possible with your camera.
Most cameras have a macro setting so this should help…:-)
The two hearts are polished stones. I went to Crystal Mountian and thought of Cheryl who likes to photograph hearts.

I love peonies. The problem is they don't grow and keep very well in the South of France :-))

Peony are indeed a very beautiful flower Anne. A pity we can't grow them in our warm climates as they prefer cooler temperatures. Enjoyed the rest of your macro photos too - Dave
That is one beautiful peony photo and believe me, I have tried to get them captured and it's so not easy.
As for slugs, where I used to live in N. California, they had banana slugs that could be 8 inches or more. Yecchhh!
