Sunday Stills-Focusing on the Foreground
Posted in Sunday Stills Challenge of the Week on October 9, 2011 by Linda
This next challenge for October 16th is to focus on the foreground in your pictures. This is a way of composing a photograph with a strong visual in the bottom section of your picture. It’s a great way to create a dynamic landscape (IMHO). Try and get a fairly wide angled shot and maximize the depth of field so that everything is in focus. The foreground can be something small or something as large as a boulder but it should fit with the landscape your shooting.
Sorry Ed, this is another exercise which is very difficult. I took this landscape photos today.

Beautiful shots, Ann. Thanks for the tip. Going through my photos of our recent trip to The Flowers in South Africa, I wished I had more time but others in our company weren't as interested as I was in the landscape. *sigh* My hubby is very patient (taken 40 years to get there, LOL!) and will wait for ages while I get the right shot. I've upgraded my Canon and he has my older version (only a year old!) and is learning the craft too. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Hugs Jo
I like the second one best, so pretty with the blue water!
Lovely photos! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice. I think they went with the theme well. I had a real difficult time too. I live in the land of subdivisions and strip malls. Not very scenic. :)
The beach scene is a definite favorite. Good job. :)
Nice clouds! I had a hard time with this challenge, too.
Great shot, i loved the 1st pic, so scenic and more like a painting. well done.
Very nice, love that first shot. It is perfect for this challege.:-)
