The top two pix belong to the same plant, the Canna genus, and the bottom plant is the Bird of Paradise. They are both in my garden.

One of my students asked me why the English always said:" Give me a ring". And she wondered if that was typically English to buy rings for each other.
I agree that leaves can be beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing some new leaves in a few weeks. None now in Ontario, Canada. ;-)
