Fridayshoot out: Relaxation

Don't worry about MSG, this Chinese takeway promises that there is no MSG used, and they get a "A" catergory awarded by the Health Department. They are not afraid to cook infront of you. Relaxation is when I don't have to cook and a quick trip to this Yes Noodle Takeaway.

Some love it, some hate it. I belong to the first group. Be it Japanese, Swedish, Javanese, Chinese. I am all for it for a nice relaxed time. My Chinese Doctor kneads away all my stress and gives me a head massage when I have a cold.

A great way to relax is to enjoy the great outdoors with my family. Mt Eden Volcano is our favourite haunt. Often you climb over several stiles to reach the mountain top.

There is a resort in Malaysia where there is a bar inside the pool. We had the pool all to ourselves that day.

Don't you think Sam is relaxing after climbing up the sand dunes about twelve times?

At the beach, we relax and watch a kite glide out to the sea.

August 14 Assignment
Lena of Spirit of Lena (SOL) suggested the topic 'Relaxation'. "My idea for relaxation was anything or place that fill people with a sense of calmness or relaxation, like a favorite garden, sitting on the porch, or park, etc. Anyplace that fills them with a sense of happiness and calm." SOL

For me, the sand, beach, food and massage are our way of relaxing. We often even go in the middle of winter. Sometimes it is hard work, and the satisfaction brings in the relaxation.

At other times, I just sit in my deck or stand in my garden or vegetable patch, and look at my plants. That's my relaxation too.

Dare I confess? Coming home to my computer and reading my emails and my fellow bloggers sites is now my greatest relaxtion. (I won't post a photo of me though my husband and taken numerous photos of me relaxing this way.)

I wish I could get some relaxation from kitchen duties, my fussy younger son insist on home cooked meal , especially at dinner time. Since the sons and hubby eat out during working hours, I try to accommodate them. At least I got to relax in the day while they are away!

I relax when I am behind the lens of the camera...time seems to stand still. Than I need a massage to work out the aches and pains from all my bending and snapping!
Looking forward to reading your journal and getting to know you.

Cooking isn't a form of relaxation ? hahah.. unless you don't have to do the washing at the end of the day, that's relaxation to me. I like cooking too. It's a kind of experimenting to see how the food turn out to be. If it's horrible, it end up into the bin.
O, I was in China again recently. That is my way of relaxation, while the tickets are cheap.

I like your idea of relaxation! I would rather eat out than cook and clean most nights, but I've chosen a healthier way. I also love massage, accupuncture too - very relaxing!

Thanks for sharing your places of relaxation like in the Yes Noodle Takeaway, Mt Eden Volcano and more.

I like relaxing on the beach too. Watching sunset.

I too find the beach so relaxing, especially in winter. I like your post, and now I'm really hungry for some good old takeout noodles!

Very relaxing pictures. I like your idea of relaxation. I don't live near a beach, but do love to walk on the beach.

Have a great weekend!

I vote for Sam sitting in the mud as the Friday Shootout picture of the week...although I admit this is the first blog I've looked at.

I am with you - it is very relaxing not to cook dinner! I am a massage lover and could really use one right now. Great post. Enjoyed the photo of Sam in the dunes.

Food is always on my list for relaxation! Not sure I am in shape to climb sand dunes twelve times, I might be relaxing face down the first go up, lol...great post!

I could easily relax your way, Anne. Eat out, a massage, a walk. Not too sure about the hill climb, I'll leave that to the young. Great post.

People in Malaysia sure know how to relax, Ann. There are many climbing activities, which tire you out and you have no choice but to relax. The pool with the bar looks very inviting. Have a peaceful weekend and thank you for the lovely post!

There are many ways how to spend to exercise relaxation. When going out is not the option, I do it "mental".

Great sharing of your outdoor post Ann and Sam surely did have a whale of his time.

Noddles? The ones cook in front of you? Hmmmm tell that to my daughter ... she won't miss a chance.

She also loves my homecook noodles.

Great to be able to visit you here. One month and two weeks to go and I'll say, "Auckland, here I come!"

I really want a massage now. BTW, does the head massage relieve your cold symptoms?

Ann, so many creative ways to relax. I like massage a lot too.

Your sand dune shots are beautiful. It is nice when someone else cooks although I find it relaxing to cook if I'm not pressed for time!
I had a massage today but it is not relaxing for me - too much pain to be worked out!

absolutely beautiful pictures. I agree that NOT cooking is relaxing to me.

I also relax by 'playing' with my computer - no law says you have to go to a forest or the beach - your way is your way. good blog.

Sand dunes, the beach and children are a perfect combination. Most of the dunes in Florida have houses on them now. Sad but true. Great fun browsing your blog!
