Memories of the past

There is a Face book account called memories of the past. A group of Sarawakians, my contemporaries are havinhg a flurry of posts, stirring our nostalgia.

This pair of crutch is a modern one because I can't find a pair of old wooden crutch.

The memory is old. When I was in Primary school, there was a girl who was a victim of polio. Her parents abandoned her to the Methodist orphanage. I can remember the boots and the crutches, she walked with a very severe limp.

Later, I was told she was adopted by some Americans who took her to USA.

I am posted this because this memory of this girl of my past makes me want to help Takiri. I know Takiri will not have a chance to win this scholarship. Most of the applicants in the leader board are young adults who have lots of facebook friends who in turn are likely to have more friends.

I am not detered. If you have a facebook account, and would like to give this 9 year old a chance to walk without his crutches, please vote and share with your friends.

Please vote for Takiri Wikitera.https://www.facebook.com/AMPdoyourthing/app_388359517893913  if you have a facebook account.

My thing is I most want to be walking and running without my crutches. I have cerebral palsy, it affects the muscles in my legs which is why I need crutches to help me get around. Horse Riding helps my muscles and balance

I do not know Takiri until today when I was told by friends about this New Zealand $10,000 AMP Scholarship when they asked me to vote either for them or their family. I went into the facebook and saw Takiri's page.
