Western Springs, Auckland

Another of my fav places in Auckland. You can tell, I am a nature lover. I always take my visitors there. There is also a short climb up the hill and you can hear the lion roar from the Auckland Zoo next door. Western Springs in Maori is Eels Spring. In the old day, the lakes provided drinking water for Auckland.

Here is my oldest sister Rose visiting from Australia and Sarawak. She loved it so much that she brought her husband Min Sen the next year. You can feed swans, ducks, pokeko, geese and eels.

As a kid, I helped my parents rear chicken, ducks and geese.
