Gum boots or wellington boots, they keep your feet dry. In the past, gum boots were black. Then they came out with children's colourful ones. Now, gum boots come in various colours and patterns.
In New Zealand, they play a toss a gum boot game. We actually played in our own Olympics game in school. Children line up and facing the wrong direction toss their gum boots. The boot that lands the furthest away wins.
Sadly, I don't think this will be an Olympic event.

Sunday Stills, The Next Challenge – Sports
In honor of the Olympics, lets try for some sports shots. You may be able to find some sporting activities in your own backyard (I’ve seen some epic battles at the hummingbird feeder), but it might be fun to grab your camera and head to a community park and look for a softball game, swim meet, bike race, horse shoe tournament, etc. Take your kids, grandkids, family dog…
