Dandelion
One man's meat is one man's poison. One man's weed is one man's vege.
I used to dig up my dandelions, but have been too lazy yo do it. They have beautiful yellow flowers. The young leaves can be eaten as a salad or stirfry vege. Some people make a tea with their roots. They claim it is very good for you. There is another uniquely New Zealand veg, it is the Puha.
This tiny fruits are yellow when they ripen. It is edible. Birds love it and they sing their melodious song. The only not so nice thing is the tree is at the corner of my sun deck where I dry my laundry. As the birds eat my fruit, they poop on my clean laundry. I guess it is their way of asking me for their wages or sing for their dinner.
