We were blessed with bright sun last August. Before we went, and after, the skies had not been kind and there was heavy rain, and the road was iced over. Car chains had to be used, and the ski fields were closed.
But that weekend, we went with David and stayed at Crusader Lodge, everyone had a fantastic time. The lodge is beautiful and built like a structure of a Swiss Chalet.
When I came back to work, I told my friend L. who broke her leg at the Snow Planet in Auckland before she even went to Ruepahu and cancelled her skiing trip to disappoint her kids. She said, " God must be good to you since you were staying at Crusader Lodge which belongs to the Scripture Union."
I told her she could come with us next year.
