I like scarfs. My brown butterfly scarf inspired me to teach th ebutterfly in my groups. I let the children use my scarf as butterfly wings and flutter as we sing," Butterflies, butterflies all around, wings go up, wings go down."
In my teaching space, we made a lot of butterflies and the kids love it.
Next year, I will grow some swan plants and let the kids see the caterpillers turn to cocoon to butterfly.
I used to do this in Singapore with my lime trees. Then we read the Hungry Caterpiller book. The city kids were amazed at this.
