In an attempt to do his bit for the Sun Smart awareness, an optometrist Jeremy Wong has donated free sunglasses for the year one students at Mt Eden Normal school where his son goes.
He says, many parents protect their own eyes but don't do the same for their kids. Mr. Wong says that kids eyes are more sensitive to UV. While damage is not immediate, protection is vital to prevent damage later in life.
I must remind Sam to wear his everyday.
