Rome

When I was six, my neighbour's son received a Colombo Plan scholarship to study to be a doctor in Canada. We were awed. Dad said, if you study hard, you will go places. That became the philosophy of our home.

My brother Henry heeded that advice. He has traveled a lot, including travel to far-a-way places like Finland. Along the line, he gave his wife, Elley a PHT. Yes, you read right. On one occasion, my very good friend, the late Ken Thornton told me that I now have a PHT, which stands for "Putting Hubby Through."

The photographs are Henry and Elley at the Colloseum.
