Muriwai 2

Looking towards the big Continent Australia at the other side of the Pacific Ocean.
People like to do Rock Fishing in Muriwai.
Rock fishing is one of the most dangerous activities in New Zealand. Many immigrants go there without being prepared. I once went to be a nosy parker and the waves suddenly would sweep against the cliff. I never went down to the rocks again.
I fictionised the drowning of a neighbour in my short story Nadine.
Rock fishing safety is such a serious matter that there is a special brochure on it. My Cambodian student goes there every Monday with his Dad. I joke with him that I like he go with him. He smiled and seems to think that it is a boy's thing.
