If you are into culture, Bali is the place to go with lots of Hindu temples, statues and religious festivals. The beach is nice, ladies come to you to massage you or braid your hair.
It is very small, you can drive round the island in a day. Do the cheap way, back packing or stay in hotels and be pampered like a king or queen. I was in a five star hotel, and at night, they have their own Balinese band to entertain you and explain the Bali culture to you.
Great to be away from the hustle and bustle of people jammed Jakarta.
