Mt Eden Kiosk

This  tea kiosk was erected in 1927 on the mountain to serve the many visitors who made the trek up Mt Eden. The rooms were charming. The kiosk was surrounded by rose gardens planted . On the building outer wall, the building is just known as the Kiosk. Actually it is the Langton's Tea Kiosk.

You can either drive up or walk up to the Kisok. During the second world war, the army took over this building.

When we climbed up the steps yesterday, we found the  building  closed  and in a dilapidated state. It has been vandalised and is in a sorry state. What a waste.
