In June-July this year, I went on a 5 week travel
to the land of my birth,
to join some old students in a school I taught
when I was 18-19 years old. It was a fun travel
and we went to a traditional Iban longhouse. Some of us let our hair down, including me,
and joined in the dance. These photos were taken by Lim Chin Yong29 travel
as they are the few that captured my image.

I have always wanted to visit an Iban Longhouse. Must make time to do that, one of those must visit destinations before I die. haha....
I heard about the round fortress too and that is a must visit destination for me as well. Reading about the amzing building and its residents are so fascinating. Would love to live in it for a few days to experience the life there.
Have a wonderful weekend!
EastCoastLife, may be we should try and arrange and go together.
Kimberly Yaw King Chew Super like this moment. We are all very happy n excited and enjoy so much at the longhouse . The most happy moment was watching you, my bro, sis and friends joined in the fun and danced away with the pretty Iban dancer.
I love the culture there, very unique and special..
Ann,
Would love that. I want so much to see the round fortress. Glad that you have relatives there, maybe they know the folks living in one of those fortress whom we could speak to and find out more about the building.
