ABC Wednesday: Letter F for Fat.

Yesterday, our TV reported a lavish wedding of a deputy mayor in Australia. It reminded me of the other lavish wedding in New Zealand which was reported as the most expensive wedding of the world in 2011.

The lavishness was reported on television and newspaper.

Fat Indian wedding, it was a copy cat of the Fat Greek wedding, I have not seen the either movies. This was what they justified themselves.

Part of the wedding, blessing of the boy, happened to be temple next door to my old house. I heard and saw the aeroplane flying with the banner. I  went out Wo! so many people.

Apparently, the Dad was some billionaire from Chicago.I happened to be along the Balmoral Road where it was closed for the procession where the the groom, his dad and his grooms men came on horse back to the temple for the blessing.

They wanted elephants and a cheetah. The Council rejected this, and the entourage came in horses. There were helicopters and planes with banners, hundreds of guest flown in from USA.

After much criticism, they came in defense that they were filming the wedding as the Fat Indian Wedding, and would bring in millions of tourism money.

Why would people want to make their wedding public is beyond me.

Australian wedding, four helicopters and cavalcade of sportscars upset neighbours as Auburn Deputy Mayor Salim Mehajer weds. A road was closed. Looks like this wedding is the Fat Indian Wedding Two.

Lavish, indeed. Perhaps they had a public wedding to allow those who were interested to be a part of the event. Life is rather public these days.Even we think it is private. Have a great rest of the week, Ann.

Never did figure out why the word "Fat" was used in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Oh wait, now I see it. "Big fat" as in Large. Duh! When I saw the movie I thought it was because some of the characters were on the larger side. I was thinking the same as I was looking at your photos, but no one looked large in size. lol

Firstly my apologies for a late comment, i have been far to busy repairing my blog after a moval from one host to another... and taking care of other things that needed to be taken care of since my husband and i have health issues at the same time.

Another great example for the fact that many words have different meanings ;-)

have a nice weekend
