Friday shoot out: Rocks

I went on a hike at Goldie Track in the Waitakeres in West Auckland. There were rocks of all formation. One rock looked very smooth, but when I brushed my knee against it, it scraped my skin, and I still have a dark scar to show for it.

And if you go to my last post, you will see some volcanic rocks.

ChefE suggested this topic nearly 6 months ago. I love it. In our towns there are many different uses for Rocks (or stones); to same a few - construction, garden decoration, streets and walkways, and just nature itself.
I feel that I have an unfair advantage in Nature Itself catergory. In Rio we have one or two of the most world famous rocks.

I love rock formations. My brothers creek is solid rock and slides like yours. Did you slide down the falls and into the deep? It looks intriguing.

I love rocks especially when they are red colored, but here in Belgium we only have very few in the Ardennes and compared to what I have seen in other countries it's not even worthwhile to mention.

Is this is a spring or a river? Clueless ah, as what I know there's a lot of Filipina's here mostly working in factories but never see and talk to one of them. I have new friend though, she uses my blog as guide for applying a visa here in Korea and we meet as we agreed.

The rocks, waterfall.....all remind me of Malaysia. Here one can hardly find such view like this.

Yes I had seen this kind of rocks, from a distance it looks like smooth but if you touched it, it's rough. Happy Friday!

There is nothing prettier than clear water running over rocks like this, is there? Hey NZ is doing well in the world cup, and yeah when they play Italy, it will be very noisy wherever I am over there!

LOL Ann I think we did go to the same place...I thought that when I was looking at Pauline's tooo..how similar the areas look!! I do love the slide rocks you shot...how fun are those!! So smooth.
My hubby is a mineralogist..he tells me that when out digging...if you don't scape yourself up while digging..you will have bad luck that day...so you must have gained a bit of luck with that nasty scrap:)

Looks can be deceiving. I hope your scrape is healing well.

I absolutely love rocks under water. They just give me such a serene feeling.
