Surfing is an interesting activity. The Kiwis are outdoor people. Wife and I just came back from NZ. We cannot help noticing cars towing motorboats, kayaks,caravans, etc all heading for the beaches.
Btw we were kayaking at Russel island. Good summer.

In Christchurch at the beach there are a lot of places were you can learn to surf. Kids grow up with it and become really good at it

I like to watch them, it's a very nice sport. My son does it too and diving ! and Mr. G and I we are not sportive at all !!
None of my sons surf, anyway the waves here are not big like in NZ...
I think that I could do that! At least as long as I stayed on the beach and didn't go in the water!
Never got to learn to surf but sure did my share of water skiing. Only lakes near me and no waves to surf on. Great photos.

Surfing was one of my passions when I was younger, am too slow and unbalanced for it now. Love the shot of the tangled cousins!
