Save the world/our world : picking up rubbish.

In New Zealand, you may own a beach front house, but you don't own the beach. Every now and then, in between houses, there are public access. Pt Chevalier is a fairly well off area, but people come from far and wide to the beach. They swim and have picnics and BBQs.

I was very impressed with two slightly old ladies. They were not dressed in beach attire. They walked the entire length of the beach picking up rubbish left by irresponsible beach goers. I didn't bring my camera to snap a photo.

It is a wonderful thing to see , these ladies picking up the trash. It would be nice to see some of the younger generation also picking up the trash! Ann, I wish you all the best in 2013, Happy New Year!
