Friday shoot out: Silhouettes

Assignment - October 9 - SILHOUETTES

The first photo was taken from the floor shooting up the glass ceiling of the Nanyang Executive centre in NTU in Singapore.

In a Chinese kitchen, a wok, like a cleaver is all you need to stirfry, stew, braise and boil soup.

For a laugh, my wok is not made in China, but in Italy. May be Marco Polo borrowed the idea, like the way it's been disputed that he borrowed the idea of noodles and called it their own spaghetti,

Palm trees are easy to draw, often I just draw coconut trees swaying in the sea breeze. Little huts of attap hatch. So idealic, until the dreadful word tsunami robs me of my tranquil setting.

The word "tsunami" has been particularly dreadful lately. Be well!

Ann, these are great. My favorite one is the wok. It is lovely. I would hang it on the wall in my ktichen.

Love the shot of the wok! I adore my wok, but have been coveting a larger one at a new restaurant supply store in town.

Those are very beautiful photos, Ann.

It's been disputed that Marco Polo brought noodles back to Italy from China.

Darn, that's something I'd always believed.

I live in a tsunami zone as well...hope all is well in your area.

I like the photo of the 'italian' wok - the states also have several kinds of woks - all made in China because I think everything you buy in the States is made in China, I've not seen woks in Brasil - course I don't shop in high class / high cost stores so maybe I have just missed them here - brought my own - I love to make stir fry. great shots for this week's FSO

These are great - I never would have guessed the wok, I thought it was an exotic fountain. Just goes to show how our eyes can fool us.
