Friday Shootout: Letter S

This is scour, it is a phenomenon with a moving agent, in this case sand, a rock in its way will cause this pattern.

I've never seen anything quite like this. Almost like something you would expect to see on the moon.

Amazing photos Did you take them on the North Island?

Interesting, thanks for showing. My daily newspaper has two daily sudokus. I often do the simpler one. But I've so far never managed to complete the more difficult one. There must be some level of thinking involved there that just goes beyond my brain ;)

I love the new things I learn when I have time to browse blogspot. A scour! Good word for it. And I am also a periodic suduko junky.

Love the shots of scouring, Ann. The best I've seen is at the old lighthouse at Pouto on the north head of the Kaipara Harbour. It now has a little moat scoured out around it.
I'm a Sudoko fan, try to do one a day.
