Running

Something I had done that I am very proud of myself.

Running 11 kilomteres Round the Bay twice in early 1980s, and the quarter marathon in 2004 in Singapore. The latter was quite a remarkable feat as I was 50 and I haven't run since the 80s.

I trained for four months with my friend Lydia on the running oval and the hilly slopes of the NTU roads. We trained everyday, sometimes at 6am, to avoid the hot sun of the humid Singapore heat. The young university students smile to see these two "aunties" pounding on the road.

The finale was like a festival, rubbing shoulders with the running great from Kenya. It was all worthed it.
